Gabriel is one of the founders and a managing director of SPA Financial Services Ltd.
Since 2000 Gabriel Anastassiades specializes in structured finance, structured investment products modeling, alternative investment advisory and equity financing, collaborating with some of the global banks in the industry.
He has been instrumental in providing alternative investment solutions to institutional investors globally and assisting corporate clients in their funding process with over $1.5 billion in capital raised. Furthermore he acts as investment advisor to a number of global institutions and family offices with alternative investment assets under management in excess of $60 billion.
Under that capacity he managed several significant investment and corporate finance transactions and collaborates with some of the largest institutional investors in the industry.
Prior to SPAFS he was one of the founders and a managing director of Axia Ventures Group Ltd, an Investment Banking Firm which started as an investment advisory firm in 2000. From 1996 to March 2000, Gabriel was the investment manager of the Insurance Operations of the Cyprus Popular Bank Group, a member of the HSBC Group, and was managing a portfolio of $1 billion specializing in global markets. From 1994 to 1996, he worked at Arthur Andersen/Andersen Consulting.
Gabriel is a graduate of Cornell University Business School in the United States, is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He attended a wide variety of Executive Courses in the field of Investment Management at the New York Institute of Finance. He is licensed by CySEC to offer investment advice and portfolio management and he is also a licensed stockbroker by the Cyprus Stock Exchange. Gabriel studied Economics and Econometrics at Manchester University in England where he graduated with honors (Bachelors Degree).
