Andreas is the Head of Advisory at SPA Financial Services Ltd. He has been working in the financial industry since 2004 when he managed Faremont Ltd, an independent third-party marketing firm specializing on Alternative Investments.
In his role as a hedge fund marketer and advisor, he traveled extensively and attended a great number of hedge fund conferences gaining valuable experience in the world of hedge funds and a broad knowledge of the finance industry and especially investment management. He worked closely with well-known fund managers in Europe assisting to establish their marketing plans and investor relations activities.
Additionally, Andreas has been involved in several private equity transactions in Cyprus and abroad particularly in the field of energy (RES, wind, solar), tourism and real estate (commercial and residential). He currently serves as a director on the board of companies investing in renewables and real estate globally.
Communicating with investors globally on a daily basis, Andreas has built a large network of contacts and has developed excellent client relationship management skills. In 2008 he worked as an independent consultant for the Bank of Piraeus (Cyprus) on establishing an alternative investments fund. In October 2009 he joined Axia Ventures Group Ltd, a boutique investment bank based in Cyprus as a Director of their Alternative Investments Division.
Andreas has excellent quantitative and analytical skills as well as communication skills. He holds an MBA and an MSC in IT from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland and a BBA from The McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin. Andreas is registered on the Public Register of Certified Persons as per CySEC regulations as certified and fit and proper to offer Investment Advice, Portfolio Management, Dealing on Own Account, Underwriting of Financial Instruments, Management of UCITS and AIFs, Reception and Transmission of Orders, Execution of Orders on behalf of clients and Marketing of UCITS and AIFs.
